Are you ready for the ride of your life?
If you want to deliver life-giving educational experiences to children throughout San Diego County with the aid of a magic school bus and a dream team, we're ready to grow with you.
ROVER, our 26-foot nature classroom on wheels, is now taking applications for additional drivers through a unique teaching apprenticeship program.
We're looking for ecologically-savvy artists, gardeners, farmers, scientists, writers, poets, musicians, and educators of all kinds with a mind to serve the next generation.
This is an experiential training course in which you cultivate your own capacity to serve the educational needs of a community through innovative methods and means, with the built-in opportunity to earn non-employee compensation as an independent contractor.
What are you here to teach?
ROVER is built for versatility and impact. It can support a wide range of offerings to groups and spaces of varying size. You'll need a valid Driver's License, experience driving large vehicles, and to pass our bus-driving test. Alternatively, you may bring a qualified driver along with you. You'll need experience sharing your craft with children. We prefer a minimum of three years.
We'll help you bring your dream classroom and/or outdoor stage to reality, propping you up for success in growing your own business and brand in whatever direction you choose. The apprenticeship program is a six-month commitment in which ROVER serves as your platform for delivery.
Our Learning Pathway:
Step one - Assist with a minimum of four ROVER educational and/or musical events.
Step two - Learn to negotiate projects independently as a colleague, collaborator, and co-creator. You do the driving (so to speak), and we back you up.
Step three - We create a uniquely supportive partnership that matches our interests in moving forward.
Incentives:
~ Get paid for all events you assist.
~ Retain a percentage of resulting profits from any community partnerships that you establish during your apprenticeship, even after the apprenticeship has ended.
~ Opportunities for creative curriculum design and development, with the option to publish for passive revenue.
