Little Shepherds Nature Lab offers drop-off preschool and kinder-garden classes five days a week.  We also provide after-school enrichment opportunities for grades 1-12. Our mission is to cultivate deeper resilience in the next generation with an embodied approach to academic achievement. Our program is informed by a consortium of parents, educators, environmental scientists, mental health specialists, gardeners, musicians, and artists.

Let's join hands (and hearts!) around the building of Little Shepherds new Preschool & Kinder Garden classroom! This is a free, family-friendly campout or day trip that provides fun learning opportunities, musical jam sessions, organic food, and community connection. We'll be constructing raised garden beds, preparing soil, mulching pathways, installing art, and setting up small tables, chairs, and supply areas.

Integrative Curriculum

Our custom curriculum weaves reading, writing, math, history, and science with somatic movement, expressive art, music, earth building, horticulture, permaculture, herbalism, ecosystem restoration, and animal husbandry. We promote an experiential and explorative learning environment with an emphasis on socio-emotional safety and awareness. Students may also participate in the operation of our community farm stand.

Parent & Educator Training

Education of the child begins with the adult. It behooves us all to have a whole system understanding of our personal patterns and how they developed. We explore a range of theories, modalities, and studies related to nervous system regulation and its impact on health, relationships, and livelihood. This coursework is available to all participating families.
