WELCOME TO DUOMO GARDENS!

AN URBAN GARDEN & GATHERING SPACE

Imaginative play is important for children.  Some would say it is essential. In addition to fostering social connections, it works wonders for brain development, informing everything from hand-eye coordination and posture to nervous system regulation and somatic health. Play forms the pathway for creative viability. Pure animation. Our gifts.

Duomo Gardens is a dynamic urban gardening environment that makes as much sense to a five-year-old as it does to a fifty-five-year-old. In partnership with its stewards, AB Nevarez and Katie Dove, Little Shepherds Nature Lab helps to develop custom curriculum emphasizing soil science and human health (it's all about beneficial microorganisms, folks!), world music (we want to get the world singing again!), and creative literacy (there's an enormous table for writing!).  We're nurturing a generation that recognizes its collective ability to cultivate individual wellness. This includes learning to grow food and medicine in our own backyards.

Duomo Gardens is a private property located in the North Park/Normal Heights area of San Diego, CA.
