Join us for After-school Enrichment at Helix Haven on Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 pm.
Helix Haven is a private residence located in the Mt. Helix neighborhood of San Diego.
Drop-off available for ages 5-12. Younger children welcome with parent onsite.

CURRICULUM OUTLINE
FALL SESSION - Working together, we construct our very own deluxe home for chicken and rabbits! We explore the safe and effective use of tools, the ways of wood, the skills of simple carpentry, and the conscious utilization of reclaimed materials.
WINTER SESSION - Now that we have a beautiful coop, it's time to bring in the baby chickens and bunnies! Learn to care for and interact with the creatures that help our gardens grow! We'll go to the garden ourselves, and, understanding the relationship between coop, poop, and healthy soil, we'll begin cultivating.
SPRING FLING - Our animals are happily established, and our garden is thriving. Time to foster the system that keeps these cycles flowing smoothly: compost! Meet the worms, and draw from abundant inspiration as we culminate our program in a burst of eco-arts and crafts.
